Temperatures really dropped over the last few days and today I woke up to a bright sunny Sunday at -5C.
Hooray! Or Not… Luckily, I had some errands to run yesterday which led me past a couple of shops that I just cannot resist: the Oxfam bookshop and, conveniently placed next to it, our local independent tea and coffee specialist.
With plenty of supplies, I’ll spend much of today indoors admiring the frost on the world outside. I will venture out later to go to a community crowdfunding dinner, but until then I’ll enjoy some of yesterday’s swag.
Also, I made some soup for lunch.
This is my attempt at a simple potato soup.
It’s tasty but I think I can do better on balancing the different herbs involved here. Something to experiment with in future.
Happy Sunday All.

Pretty much. 🙂 But that’s what winter is for, isn’t it?

What edition is that “Woman in White”? Is it leather or just a faux-leather?

It’s a 1967 Heron Books Literary Heritage Collection edition. Faux leather. But for £2.95 I really don’t care. It is in excellent condition. 🙂
