I am not going to do a detailed review of my 2022 in books, as it would be short and not very interesting due to a slump that lasted most of the year. I read 60 books, most during Halloween Bingo, and liked most of what I read.
The low points were:
Grass – Sheri S. Tepper
Wintering – Kathering May
The Hunt for Red October – Tom Clancy
Year of Wonders – Geraldine Brooks
But 4 out of 60 ain’t bad!
The high points are too numerous to list, but let’s say that A Hat Full of Sky by Terry Pratchett and Piranesi by Susanna Clark were both top of my list.
I’m hoping for a much better reading year in 2023.
You are usually a reading machine so my condolences!! I do hope 2023 is better for you but sometimes RL is as good as reading …. but only sometimes …. 😉
I’ve been trying to read more which means I’m reviewing less. I’m not sure if that’s going to change in 2023 but I’d like to get through some of the review backlog.
All the best in 2023!

Too much RL stuff going on, too much fun with Andy (dog), too much reading time spent outside … none of this is bad, quite the opposite, but reduced reading time plus massive slump … it just was not the year for reading. Still, not many regrets. 😉

Thank you. I have been reading again since September, mostly helped by Halloween Bingo. Still not at the same level as before, but RL has something to do with that, too, and I’m in a good place with that.
Writing up reviews is another matter. Hahahaha… I’ll endeavour to post more often this year. 😉

No pressure. Because writing is a whole different beast from reading, that’s for sure!
