So, erm, well, … apparently I did some book hauling on Monday when I was down with that bug (I don’t think it was a flu-y thing after all). So, let’s just say, I will not run out of Golden Age mystery reads for quite some time…

But then, they are all second hand books. So I’m really doing a good deed here by giving them a new home.
(And yeah, Death on the Cherwell, I know. In my defense, I was not really with it on Monday.)

Ohh…Very curious what you make of those (and the sadist in me really wants to see what you’ll make of Scarweather. I…did not enjoy it much to put it carefully)

Haha. I saw your review on GR and will read it in full when I finish the book.
I started it last night and can now see why Sayers might have loved Rolls’ writing … and why you chose a Holmes gif (I might be wrong here of course). The style of his writing in this story is probably one of the best attempts at copying ACD I have come across without trying to cash in on the Holmes theme (but then that would have just been plagiarism at the time of writing).
Thanks for the heads up that this book may not live up to my expectations, tho. 😀

I fail to take issue with this, or chastise you in any way. Books need love, too!

LoL. That’s very true. And I love secondhand books.
