Oh, air travel. I know in the US kindles weren’t allowed on flights, not sure if they are still are or not.
That whole “electronic interference” boojum that I’m pretty skeptical about myself.

I don’t know about US internal flights but on the BA flights in and out of Houston, kindles are no problem. Nor are any other electronic devices, as long as you have wifi/data switched off. You can even have them on during take off and landing now.
A friend of mine who works in air traffic control told me years ago that the interference thing was all non-sense. So, I was glad that most of the flight operators have caught up. On the other hand, I was on a charter flight (holiday agent) that didn’t allow any electronics to be switched on during the flight – that would have been a looong 4 hours if I hadn’t had a paper book on me.

Good to know about the kindles. It was changing quickly [well, every couple of years] for some time.
And yes, 4hrs on a charter plane, oooph. Glad you had prepared ahead of time 😀
