The Raven & The Black Cat

There is nothing that I can say about either of these two absolute classics that hasn’t been said before, except that I when I re-read The Black Cat this year just after I re-read the The Raven, it had not really struck me how similar the narrators are with respect to the process they are going through when descending into madness.

Also, I had totally forgotten how horrible and gruesome the story of The Black Cat is. Maybe I had tried to forget…
