I liked this more than I thought I would. The cast makes this very enjoyable. I mean, I knew Michael Sheen and David Tennant would be fabulous, but, damn, so was Miranda Richardson. And the rest of the cast was pretty good, too.

So agreed! But, having the blue sockets glowing with eldrich power would have bern a fitting tribute. Then again, who knows what legal hoops would have had to jave been jumped through. They sure as hell got his bike right! If only Christopher Lloyd had been able to voice him!

Or Nigel Planer, who narrates many of the Discworld audiobooks! 😀 And yeah, I was disappointed by the missing blue eye sockets.

Only on episode 2, but the joy is great. I wish Sir Terry were here to see it.

I wasn’t planning on watching the entire thing until the wee hours, but I also didn’t want to turn off. 😀 Ioved the interaction between the characters.

Ditto! It was a glorious binge watch! I – darecI say it? – even appreciated the non canon bits

Me, too! I just thought it was really delightful and even the non-canon references fitted in quite well. The only aspect I had issues with was that DEATH was not the same DEATH of Pratchett’s other books even if he kept up the same CAPITALISED SPEECH and dry humor.

But that was in the book, too. In the series, I guess, my issue with the portrayal of Death was heavily biased by the voice and depictions of Pratchett’s character in other adaptations.
