Could it be that the reading slump that is going around is contagious?
What seems worse is that even when I keep picking up books at the moment (only to set them down again…), I’m sure there is a bit of a reviewing slum going on right now, too.
There are a handful of books that I still want to write a review for but I just can’t get a start on it even tho they were really good books.
Aaaaaarrrrrrgghhhh!!!

I’m with you, I’ve been in a major review slump for about a month now. I’ve easily surpassed my 2016 reading challenge, but I refuse to mark any books as read on GR without a review and I hate writing a half assed review. I think I’ve gone into hibernating mode or something.
Wish I had a solution for you!

Hibernating mode. That might be it.
Winter + the BL frustrations + RL being busy does not make it easy to keep up with the review writing.
How are you planning on overcoming your slump?
I managed to write a (looooooooong) overdue review a couple of days ago after I read another review of the same book. I guess it inspired me to provide my own thoughts.

Hope it doesn’t last too long, there’s nothing worse than not wanting to do something you normally enjoy.

Thanks. I hope so, too. 😦

I know I’ve been harping on this, so please forgive me if it is too much, but the situation at booklikes is just taking it out of everyone there. Between things not working correctly, people not posting because they can’t, people leaving, people preparing to leave, it is just depressing. And when you get in a slump, or someone else does, you continue the cycle.
So here is to hoping you come out of it quickly 🙂

Thanks. I don’t know if it is related. I mean, even with the BL slowness, I could have posted reviews here on WP and then transferred them over to BL.
I think it might just be a case of end-of-year tiredness.
